Isaac Price sums up everything wrong with West Brom right now after Oxford United reveal
Isaac Price had a dismal showing in West Brom’s 2-1 loss to Oxford United on Saturday.
Price was a reliable contributor for Ryan Mason in the early stages of West Brom‘s season, and has notched a total of six goals and one assist.
However, his influence has started to wane for The Hawthorns outfit as the campaign has dragged on, and it is actively putting them in danger.
Interim boss James Morrison needs players who can step up and make a difference and right now, the Northern Ireland international is not one of them.
That was evident at the Kassam Stadium on 28 February as the Baggies fell to another defeat.
How did Price perform against Oxford United?
Price was lacklustre in the defeat, and the stats reveal an extremely worrying picture for someone who should be one of Albion’s most creative players.
While he did attempt two shots against the Yellows, neither of them were successful, with one being blocked.
The 22-year-old attempted three crosses in the contest, but he could not find his own man, as none were successful, per Sofascore.
He had just 32 touches in the game, but managed to lose possession nine times, which shows that he is not taking care of the ball.
Price achieved a total of six carries, but none were progressive, and it was only for a total distance of 23.7m, simply not good enough for a man who should be trying to drive the team forward.

To top it all off, he made just one defensive contribution, a clearance from inside his own box, showing that he was not getting back and helping enough.
How do West Brom stop the rot in attack?
The Baggies have struggled with their attack for the majority of the season, under both Mason, Ramsay and now Morrison.
They need to try something different if they are to get the results to push away from the relegation zone.
Perhaps a front two with Aune Heggebo and Josh Maja would allow the likes of Price and the wingers to create more chances, but it would also leave them more exposed at the back.
It is a fine balance, but finding it, will be absolutely vital if they are to stay in the division.
