West Brom fans may see straight through desperate attempt after Slaven Bilic talks
West Brom find themselves in a desperate position, somehow sitting just outside of the Championship relegation zone.
Eric Ramsay was sacked following the 1-1 draw with Charlton, before the Baggies fell to a 2-1 defeat against Oxford on Saturday.
Former midfielder James Morrison remains in temporary charge, but popular Albion source EyWeGew has revealed that contact has been made with Slaven Bilic regarding a temporary role.
The Croatian guided West Brom back to the Premier League in 2020, before Sam Allardyce took his place at The Hawthorns at the season’s midway point.
Bilic remains an incredibly popular figure among the fans, though that same fanbase may be able to see straight through what appears to be a desperate attempt to get them back on side.

West Brom are desperate to get fans back on side
It goes without saying that the current campaign has been a dismal one for the Black Country outfit.
West Brom are among a list of clubs whose aim must always be promotion, whenever they find themselves in the second tier. Instead, they now find themselves locked in an ongoing relegation battle.
Bilic is not the only former manager to be linked with a return to the club in recent weeks, with Darren Moore also named as a potential successor following the sacking of Ramsay.
Though both reek of an attempt to get supporters back on side.
Many supporters feel that Bilic, in particular, has unfinished business in the Midlands, having never had the chance to see The Hawthorns full of supporters following their Premier League return in 2020, before he was sacked a matter of months later.
But the question as to whether he would be the right man to guide the Baggies to safety is a different question entirely.
Instead, a move for the Croatian looks to mainly be an attempt to engage a downtrodden fanbase who have seen their club rip up two projects quickly this term.
West Brom need to prepare for important reset
With both Ryan Mason and the aforementioned Ramsay both losing their jobs this season, Albion are preparing for yet another era.
The Baggies dropped the ball in particular with Ramsay, who arrived with his own ideas with little time to implement them mid-season.
No matter the division that the Baggies find themselves in next term, West Brom simply must start a project and give it time to get going.
After a strong initial run under Carlos Corberan, the Baggies have completely misfired since.
The important thing now is to choose a direction forward, and to ensure that this is being followed at all levels of the club, or they risk finding themselves in a similar position to that of now once again.
