Hull City fans furious at West Brom social media post – ’10/10 rage baiting’
Hull City supporters did not take too kindly to a West Brom social media post during the Baggies’ impressive 3-0 victory on Saturday afternoon.
Albion moved out of the Championship relegation zone after cruising to all three points at The Hawthorns, thanks in part to Charlie Hughes’ first-half sending off.
Josh Maja coolly buried Jed Wallace’s cross to hand the hosts an early lead, before Aune Heggebo doubled their advantage midway through the second period.
Issac Price then slotted home in the closing stages to add gloss to the scoreline, sealing the Baggies’ first win since late December and moving them up to 21st in the table.
The loss dented Hull’s play-off bid, and they also came off second best on social media.

How did West Brom wind up Hull supporters?
West Brom‘s tweet announcing Hughes’ red card certainly caused quite a stir on X.
“Charlie Hughes is rightly sent off after hauling Jed down when through on goal,” the club posted, with the use of the word “rightly” the cause of the visitors’ anger.
One Hull supporter simply replied, “Rightly” alongside three skull emojis.
However, one Albion-supporting user was just as bemused, jokingly replying: “Rightly. Jesus is AJ [Andy Johnson] writing this comedy script?”
The referee had adjudged Hughes’ challenge to have been a last-man impediment on Wallace, leaving him no choice but to hand him his marching orders.
Hull, however, were confident Hughes had sufficient support around the penalty area, which would have instead seen the defender shown a yellow card.
“No chance a red, a yellow at most,” another X user argued.
Incredibly, West Brom were accused of deliberately winding up their Yorkshire opponents.
Judging from the backlash underneath Albion’s seemingly innocuous post, damage was done both on and off the pitch, although it is the convincing win that will be remembered.
West Brom have chance to build momentum
Having eased their relegation worries, the Baggies must now piece together a good run.
According to Opta’s supercomputer, they now have a 46.26 per cent chance of dropping into League One, while they are expected to finish in 21st place.
James Morrison will not be getting carried away with these latest predictions quite yet, but he will know he is slowly but surely building up confidence and sustained performances.

Oxford United and Leicester City both look capable of dropping points between now and the end of the campaign, and Albion must be ready to ruthlessly capitalise.
For now, however, they can reflect on a job very well done.
