Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba’s West Brom woes already forgotten as he leads Aston Villa fan chant
Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba’s loan spell at West Bromwich Albion was quite a forgettable time.
With the Baggies staring down relegation back in January, the recalling of Aston Villa loanee Samuel Iling-Junior had left the Hawthorns outfit light in that area of the pitch.
However, they were able to bring another Villa youngster in, Jimoh-Aloba, to take his place among the squad.
It was in fact a second spell in B71 for the 19-year-old, who first joined at the age of six and only left in August 2023 for Aston Villa.
The relationship between Aston Villa and West Brom is still quite heated, despite neither being their main rival, and since Jimoh-Aloba’s loan ended, he has quickly put back on his Villa cap.

Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba quick to forget West Brom spell
Jimoh-Aloba has plenty of affection for the Baggies, with him admitting so on his return back in February.
Speaking to West Brom TV, he stated: “This was the number one place I wanted to come because of the emotions and feelings I have towards the club. Those emotions are still in me deeply..

However, he has quickly reverted back to showing his Aston Villa colours ahead of the Europa League final.
With Aston Villa set to face Freiburg in the ultimate match of the European competition, Jimoh-Aloba, who actually helped push Villa into the top two of the league phase, is already back with his parent club on his mind.
The young talent has been spotted in Istanbul, where the final is taking place, and is getting involved in the scenes in the Turkish city.
A video circulating on social media depicts the winger starting Villa’s “Holte Enders in the sky” chant, which may not land too well with his former loan side.
Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba has the right to celebrate the occasion
As much as it may hurt to see any West Brom-associated player enjoy the success of a rival club, even if it is their current employers, Jimoh-Aloba was a key reason Villa are in the position they are in.
In his sole 24-minute appearance in the Europa League, the winger scored a crucial winner against RB Salzburg and secured the B6 outfit’s place in the top two.
The positioning of the Premier League club then meant they were handed an advantage of having each of their second-leg ties at home.

So while he had little impact at West Brom, his time in the Aston Villa first team this season has seemingly resulted in more influence.
However, his loan at the Hawthorns will likely be forgotten quickly, with Jimoh-Aloba barely contributing to the survival push shown from West Brom under James Morrison.
A return for Jimoh-Aloba may be unlikely now, especially after his antics in Istanbul.
