The former midfielder came in on an interim basis, turned things around, and has reaped the rewards of that with a permanent role.

Morrison spoke out about that ahead of the final day, confirming that talks are already underway with certain individuals.
He said: "There are a couple that I have spoken to. But again that will be a process that we work together with and we see where we get to on that."
There are many key names approaching the end of their deals with Jed Wallace, just one approaching the end of his West Brom spell.
Whose contracts are expiring at West Brom?
There is likely to be a high player turnover in the Black Country as soon as the transfer window opens.
That can't come as a surprise, given how poor this season has been overall, but it will be interesting to see how many depart when their contracts expire.
Wallace, Karlan Grant, Daryl Dike, Josh Maja, Max O'Leary and Joe Wildsmith are the six names whose contracts run out when the summer window gets underway.
