Andy Johnson stunned by West Brom scenes vs Blackburn: 'I can't believe what I've just seen'
Andy Johnson was left stunned on the gantry as West Bromwich Albion faced Blackburn Rovers.
The Baggies had gone 2-0 down in the opening 12 minutes as Andri Gudjohnsen bagged a brace.
That left The Hawthorns shell-shocked and in desperate need of a quick turnaround.
Barney Stewart halved the deficit on 19 minutes with his first goal for the Black Country outfit.
It stayed at 2-1 for over 50 minutes before Jayson Molumby won a penalty at the Birmingham Road end.
The ball was handed to Isaac Price and it's fair to say Johnson enjoyed what came next.
Andy Johnson can't believe Isaac Price penalty vs Blackburn Rovers
There is always fear from 12-yards, especially when the taker has a 50 per cent record for club and country this season.
That was the case for the Northern Ireland international, not that you'd know.
Price stepped up and placed a perfect Panenka penalty right down the centre of Balazs Toth's goal.
There was ice in the veins of the Baggies midfielder and it certainly went down well with Johnson on WBA TV.
He was simply astonished as he said: "I can't believe what I've just seen. I'm so glad that went in. I'm watching it back, I can't believe what I've just witnessed.
"I thought I was dreaming. It's audacious and it's entertainment at its best."
That was the general feeling in B71 as Price got exactly what his performance deserved.
The numbers behind Price in West Brom vs Blackburn
The chipped spot kick was simply the icing on the cake for the 23-year-old after a top showing.
That was all made better when Felix Horn Myhre bagged the winner to make it 3-2 and back up a top showing from Price.
It isn't every day that you create six chances in a single match, by far the most on the pitch.
The Northern Irishman added to that by having five shots of his own, including his penalty effort.
He attempted six dribbles, swung in 14 crosses and took seven corners on the day.
That was backed up by four defensive actions, eight duel wins and four recoveries at The Hawthorns.
Backing all that up by the Baggies securing three points makes all his work all the sweeter as he showcased his quality once again.
