Darren Bent has predicted West Brom to beat Norwich City 2-0 when the two sides meet at The Hawthorns on Saturday.

Carlos Corberan's side have taken up a place in the Championship play-offs after 15 matches, having experienced an exciting start to the campaign while the Canaries are down in the bottom half of the table.

The Baggies went on a frustrating run of six consecutive runs after losing back-to-back games against Sheffield Wednesday and Middlesbrough, finally claiming all three points versus Hull City.

Speaking live via talkSPORT on Friday (22 November, 6:44pm), Bent said: "West Brom had six draws on the bounce before finally turning that into a win, so I think West Brom win this 2-0 [v Norwich]."

West Brom tipped to defeat Norwich City in Championship showdown

History would suggest that The Hawthorns will bear witness to a game of goals on Saturday 23 November, with the two sides last playing out a goalless draw in 2004.

The Baggies have won three of the last six meetings, a run which also includes two 1-1 draws while Norwich can boast a victory in the last game, having last faced off in January.

A victory would help push the Baggies towards the top of the Championship table, joining the likes of Sunderland, Sheffield United, Leeds United and Burnley in the push for promotion.

The Canaries were expected to be in the same race but results have been far from ideal at Carrow Road, which will be why Corberan's players are expected to secure all three points.

Norwich have won just one of their last eight matches in the Championship so it would be a massive upset if they were to come to The Hawthorns and defeat the Baggies.

Corberan and his players have been lacking form in recent weeks but the 2-1 win over the Tigers before the international break should offer some much-needed confidence.
