West Brom first-team assistant coach Michael Hefele has been suspended from the touchline and fined £1,000 as announced by the FA.

Hefele was charged by the FA for allegedly using improper language and behaviour in the tunnel following the draw with Millwall on 1 April.

And in a tweet published by the FA [13 April] on the matter, they announced that the Albion assistant will be banned from the touchline for two matches and fined for his actions

More control

Seems as if things are going from bad to worse in West Brom's season right now as they look to keep their increasingly faint playoff hopes on track.

The club have been blighted by poor form, injuries to key players and will now have Carlos Corberan's assistant banned from the touchline for his insulting behaviour and conduct after the referee's controversial decisions in their tight affair against the South Londoners earlier this month.

Corberan will be demanding more control from his players and staff towards the referee, especially as their playoff push intensifies even further in the coming weeks.

It is certainly not a good look for the Spaniard when one of his staff goes off the rails on the touchline as it sends a bad precedent to the players too.

In a period where West Brom need to compose and steady themselves at such a crucial stage of the season, they can simply not afford any more controversial and needless issues hampering their progress under Corberan's management.
