Tammer Bany among seven West Brom players who have a point to prove in the international break

West Bromwich Albion are set to wave goodbye to seven senior internationals for the September and October break.

It has been a largely excellent start to the Championship campaign at The Hawthorns.

No one could have really expect things to go as well as they have after such struggles last season.

Sitting fifth is a massive plus for James Morrison, having fell to just two defeats in the opening eight outings.

The only blow will be the last game before the break as the Albion lost 1-0 to Wolves in the Black Country derby.

Skipper George Campbell is jetting back to America, Callum Styles to Hungary and Ousmane Diakite to Mali.

Tammer Bany arguably represents the biggest surprise after being given the nod by the Jordan squad.

Morrison will surely be taking note of the latter as his nightmare spell in B71 continues.

Why Tammer Bany has a point to prove

The 22-year-old is nearly two years into his spell at The Hawthorns after signing from Randers in January 2025.

In that time he has made just nine appearances for the Baggies first-team, with four coming for the under-21s.

He has featured just once this season having made a 10-minute cameo against Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup.

That hasn't stopped him from earning a spot in the Jordan squad for the current break.

A friendly against Syria now lies ahead for the 2003-born attacker.

Bany needs to seriously prove a point and get some minutes under his belt while he can.

If he can put a shift in and build up some sharpness, he could come back to the Black Country to push for a regular role under Morrison.

The attacker has been one of the most bizarre Albion signings in recent memory and needs to make his presence felt sooner rather than later.
