Tara Kirk: The West Brom Women signing that once left Jack Grealish speechless
West Brom Women have confirmed the signing of Tara Kirk.
Popular in the women's football landscape, Kirk is also known for her work in the media, as well as on the pitch.
The Baggies are looking ahead to the new season with Martyn Irvine now in interim charge at The Hawthorns.
Siobhan Hodgetts-Still is on maternity leave after the birth of her child, and will return at a later date to take back over from Irvine.
Despite that, West Brom are still pressing ahead with their transfer plans, with Kirk latest through the door.
Joining from Peterborough United, the versatile forward has already admitted her delight over the move.
What has Tara Kirk said about West Brom move?
West Brom News have frequently covered the women's side, including their latest signing of Naomi Powell, too.
Kirk continues the new arrivals to take them to six signings already.
Speaking to in-house media after the announcement, Kirk revealed how welcome she has been made to feel.
"Everyone has been so welcoming," she started.
"I'm really fortunate in the way that I've been accepted into the club, and I just can't wait to do as good as I can do for them."
Kirk has been on trial with the Albion for a couple of weeks, so signing on the dotted line, she's already integrated into the squad.
The time Jack Grealish was left speechless by Tara Kirk
Being in the media too, it's very easy to find clips of what Kirk can do with the ball at her feet in the final third.
Scoring 50 goals for Peterborough over the past four seasons, in 79 appearances, while playing off the striker isn't an easy feat.
So, when appearing in a YouTube video with Jack Grealish and Angry Ginge, she showcased her skills perfectly.
Setting up a one-v-one situation, Kirk dribbles left to draw the goalkeeper out, before scooping the ball over his head and into the net without a single bounce.
The I'm a Celebrity Winner called the goal "naughty", while Grealish was left with a huge smile on his face, speechless after making a gasp while the ball was heading goalbound.
Now, it's about proving her class and recreating moments like this for West Brom, and it won't be long until she's a fan favourite at The Hawthorns, too.
