Three West Brom questions to emerge this week include if James Morrison has an issue on the horizon?

West Bromwich Albion will be smarting about waiting so long to try and rebound from their derby heartache.

The Baggies were beaten 1-0 by rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers prior to the international break.

With the September and October windows being combined into one larger break, it means West Brom still have a couple of weeks to go before returning to domestic action.

The setback in the Black Country derby was hugely disappointing, but should not detract from what has been a largely solid start to the campaign.

Indeed, Albion sit fifth and only three points adrift of leaders Swansea City.

Does James Morrison have a left-wing issue on the horizon?

Isaac Price has been excellent for West Brom this season, scoring four goals and assisting another in 10 competitive outings.

James Morrison has used the versatile Price out on the left flank to great effect, and he has been crucial for Albion.

The issue that could arrise is when Mikey Johnston finally recovers from injury.

Johnston has hardly featured since his previous campaign was curtailed by an ankle injury, with the winger suffering a setback since in his recovery.

When he does return, the 27-year-old prefers to be on the left-hand side, so Morrison might have a potential headache to solve.

Will Brayann Pereira get another opportunity for West Brom?

Brayann Pereira's nightmare debut for West Brom lasted just 34 minutes.

The versatile defender started at right-back, where he predominantly likes to play, in the 1-0 win over Derby County but was sent off after just 34 minutes.

Even though his suspension was served, Morrison opted to keep Callum Styles - a left-back - on the right, which meant Conor Townsend was on the opposite full-back slot.

Pereira only arrived from NEC Nijmegen late in the window, so will a few extra weeks on the training ground show Morrison he deserves another opportunity?

Or will it be a case of keeping things as they are? With Nolan Galves sidelined with a meniscus injury, it is a tough call for Morrison.

What is West Brom's best midfield pairing?

A lot of work was done in the summer to improve West Brom's engine room.

As such, Morrison has a fair few options in the centre of the park, and finding his best pairing is a challenge.

Jayson Molumby and Ousmane Diakite are the two that Morrison usually plumps for in the centre.

But is it time for the likes of Toby Collyer and Rabby Nzingoula to get more starts?

All four bring different options to the table, and Morrison might yet do more tinkering before landing on his favoured partnership.
