West Bromwich Albion secured their Championship survival at the end of last season, with Callum Styles playing a huge part.

Styles has been an ever-present figure for West Brom over the past two seasons, with the Hungary international showcasing his remarkable versatility throughout.

During that time, he has featured across the entirety of midfield, as a second striker, a winger, and at left-back.

For the majority of Morrison's stint, the wideman by trade has started out at left-back, allowing Isaac Price to drift centrally from that flank.

After securing survival, the Baggies are looking to climb back up the standings, closer to the promotion race.

And if they are to do that, Styles will have to be central to Morrison's plans moving forward.

Callum Styles gives verdict on new West Brom hopes

Signing a new deal this week, Styles is set to stay at The Hawthorns until 2030.

The 26-year-old was named both players' and supporters' player of the season in 2025-26, and has set his sights on big things with the Albion.

"It's a massive club and we have to be striving for bigger and better things," he told West Brom, looking ahead to the coming year, before praising Morrison's impact.

"With Mozza at the helm, he knows the club better than anyone. He is a legend and he knows what is needed.

"As you saw the last 12 games of the season, when we all come together and have one goal, we can achieve it."

Making the move from Barnsley in 2024, Styles has continued to shift through the gears in the Midlands, and called upon his experiences to back this up.

"I've loved it here from the first day and I am hoping we can achieve a lot better things in the future," he said.

"I see a massive improvement in my own performances over the past two years."

Dragged into trouble last term, Albion will be desperate to avoid this again, and Styles should be one to play a key role if they are to leave this in the past.

James Morrison thanks Carlos Corberan for transforming West Brom gem into one of best around

James Morrison to have eyes set on one key West Brom partnership

With non-stop energy on the left-hand side, Styles is one of the Championship's best in his position.

One player who benefits from him more than most is Price - who operated out on the left side of midfield under Morrison.

With one shifting out and one drifting centrally, the duo worked well in tandem, allowing the creative spark of Price to shine in the areas he suits - the same could be said for Styles.

Price is the Albion's most talented player - someone who Morrison should be building around over the summer - and to get the best out of him, Styles must be central to the plan.

After a consistent string of performances, Styles has earned his spot as a potential West Brom talisman moving forward.
