West Brom suffer Ryan Mason setback

One of the favourites for the West Brom position is Mason. The former England international is currently the assistant manager at Tottenham under Ange Postecoglou.

The 33-year-old is highly rated in the industry and has already been in charge of Tottenham’s first team twice as interim manager.

Now, West Brom are reportedly ready to give him his first full-time role as manager, but they may have to wait until after Spurs’ Europa League campaign to appoint him.

This is because Mason wants to see the season out at Spurs to ensure they come away with their first trophy since 2008.

Marti Cifuentes' odds to West Brom crash

Another favourite was the West Brom job is Marti Cifuentes. The QPR manager has impressed since he took over the London club last season and has guided them to Championship safety in back-to-back years.

However, rumours have begun to circulate that the Spaniard is looking to leave the side this summer.

Cifuentes was placed on gardening leave by QPR last month as rumours linked the manager to West Brom.

Now, the Spaniard’s odds of becoming the new West Brom manager have plummeted to just 2/1, suggesting there has been a development behind the scenes.
