Jayson Molumby was accused of cheating as West Brom beat Blackburn on Saturday afternoon.

It was a fiery encounter at The Hawthorns, as the Baggies came from two goals down to win 3-2.

Barney Stewart, Isaac Price and Felix Horn Myhre scored the important goals for all three points.

Price improved his tally from the penalty spot, but there were questions around the challenge on Molumby to win it.

Bursting into the box, Molumby looked to have been felled, but Mike Dean believes it was a very clear dive.

And after watching some footage, it's hard to determine whether that was the case at all.

Not enough evidence could save Jayson Molumby

Keith Hackett has seen footage online of the incident, claiming it's impossible to determine whether this was a dive or not.

Whether the FA have other angles and clearer footage, remains to be seen.

For now, though, Hackett insists that the position of the referee will be taken into account too, with the penalty quickly given.

Speaking exclusively to West Brom News, the ex-FIFA official shared his view on the one clip available of the incident.

"I have looked several times at this footage," Hackett said. "I have also taken into account the position of the referee.

"I cannot based on this footage take a view that the referee has correctly awarded a penalty kick.

"If there is a view that this player ‘dived’ then there must be other footage available.

"Well, it certainly is insufficient evidence to come to the view held by Mike Dean."

How long would Jayson Molumby be banned for?

The charge introduced by the FA is the successful deception of a match official.

West Brom know that very well, given Aune Heggebo was charged with it for that handball against Norwich earlier in the season.

It automatically brings a two-match suspension with it.

There hasn't been much said about the incident after Dean's outburst on Sky Sports, so maybe it will be swept away.

James Morrison will hope so anyway, especially after the injury picked up by Toby Collyer against Blackburn.
