Besard Sabovic admits he is unsure if West Brom are still interested in signing him after a summer transfer from Djurgarden failed to materialise.

Speaking to online outlet Fotbollskanalen on 10 September, the midfielder was asked to confirm if Albion had made an offer for his services.

The former Sweden Under 21 international was coy, saying: "Haha, you can bring that up with Bosse [Andersson] (Djurgarden director of football)."

When asked if Carlos Corberan's side were still interested in signing him, Sabovic replied: "Haha, I don't know that. We'll see."

The Baggies had a busy transfer window which saw 11 players come through the doors to hand Corberan's squad a boost.

With that being said, it will have been frustrating to miss out on the Swede after making bids in an attempt to bring him in.

Considering that Albion made an offer for the midfielder, they felt confident that they would be able to add him to their side.

This is due to the contract situation which sees the 26-year-old have just six months remaining on his current deal.

This would ultimately be a positive for the club, especially given how brightly they have begun the new Championship season.

If he's a player Corberan still wants then it is a signing the Baggies could look to add in January or next summer.
