West Brom News has gathered information that Galves is in advanced discussions to move to The Hawthorns.
Championship rivals Southampton have also been linked with his signature, but it appears Albion are going to win the race.
Now, prominent transfer journalist Sacha Tavolieri has reported on X that a full agreement has been reached between West Brom and the Frenchman.
He stated the deal is historic because he is the first French defender playing in Ligue 2 to move directly to the Championship in the 21st century.
Galves is said to have agreed a four-year deal with the Baggies, as West Brom finally get a new right-back in the door.
What else do West Brom need this transfer window?
Right-back really was sticking out as a problem area for Albion, so it is a bit of a relief to see it addressed with the new season looming.
There are still some other bits that Morrison will be keen to sort before the new campaign, though, you would feel.
Certainly in the final third the Baggies are probably looking light one of one or two players.
A new winger or two would be welcome, while another striker would be a priority even though Jimmy-Jay Morgan - signed from Chelsea this window - has impressed in pre-season.
