James Morrison responds as West Brom lodge bid for Felix Horn Myhre

West Bromwich Albion manager James Morrison has spoken out after links to Felix Horn Myhre.

The Baggies appear to be in the market for midfield reinforcements moving deeper into the summer.

That won't come as a surprise to many at The Hawthorns after some struggles in that area last season.

Ousmane Diakite may have put in some positive performances, but he does remain limited in the middle of the park.

Bringing in a fresh face around him could prove to be wise and the Norwegian looks to be a top option.

There is no doubt that the Albion need to strengthen if they want a better campaign next time around.

That has seen them return to Brann for a potential deal after signing Aune Heggebo last summer.

Horn Myhre has emerged as a target as the Express and Star outlined reports on Saturday that the Baggies have launched an official bid, but the fee is currently unknown.

The outlet heard from Morrison on the potential deal as he simply responded: "I don’t want to talk about it (players) until they have signed."

Although that doesn't necessarily prove anything, it suggests that their must be some sort of interest for him to even answer the question like that.

There is plenty of excitement building in B71 over the potential signing of the 27-year-old.

The Eliteserien campaign is still going on and after 14 games, the midfielder has already picked up three goal involvements.

He could soon be on his way to The Hawthorns as Brann have already rejected a £2.3million offer from Elche, as covered by West Brom News.

That could give the Baggies the upper hand should any bidding war begin as they already know where to start.
