West Bromwich Albion continue to be linked with a move for SK Brann midfielder Felix Horn Myhre.

The Baggies are in the hunt for more reinforcements during the transfer window, with the Championship season opener looming.

Thus far Albion have some modest work in the market, and are out to add more to James Morrison's squad.

Jimmy-Jay Morgan and Barney Stewart have arrived from Chelsea and Falkirk respectively to bolster the front line.

Matt Ingram joined to boost the Baggies' goalkeeper options, Conor Townsend returned on a free transfer, and right-back Nolan Galves joined from French outfit Rodez AF.

Myhre is a name prominently linked over the past week, and he has now been addressing his future at Norwegian side Brann.

West Brom News has delved into the numbers to show why Myhre would be a good signing for the Baggies.

However, there is strong competition for the 27-year-old Norway international, so West Brom have a fight on their hands.

According to VGTV, LaLiga side Elche have made a bid of around £2.3million to sign Myhre.

Myhre was asked about the Elche bid following Brann's 3-1 Conference League second-round qualifying victory over Universitatea Cluj.

In quotes reported by VGTV, Myhre said: "It's tempting a bit, I have to admit.

"I don't know if the club thinks the offer is high enough. I feel very comfortable at Brann."

If Albion are to complete his signature, they will seemingly have to fight off a pretty strong competitor given Elche can offer top-flight football.

And judging by his comments here, he would be open to the idea of moving to Spain.

What else do West Brom needs this summer?

As well as Myhre, the Baggies are being linked with a loan move for Aston Villa gem George Hemmings.

Central midfield is an area where West Brom have some decent options, but Morrison clearly thinks he could do with more in the engine room.

One pressing area certainly seems to be out wide, with not much beyond Mikey Johnston in the squad.

Harry Whitwell has played on the right during pre-season, but he is more at home in the centre and may make a loan move depending on what happens during the window.

Another striker would not go amiss either, and there is certainly plenty of work that can be done between now and the end of the window.
