Karlan Grant has shared a series of images to social media showing himself on holiday, as his West Bromwich Albion future hangs in the balance.

The 28-year-old is set to see his West Brom contract expire at the end of this month, meaning a decision will have to be made in the coming days.

Having played 27 times in the Championship for Albion last season, the versatile forward netted just four times and failed to provide an assist.

West Brom signed Grant for £15million from Huddersfield Town in October 2020, but he couldn't prevent Sam Allardyce's side from suffering Premier League relegation that year.

Since then, he's made over 170 appearances in all competitions for the Baggies, scoring 35 goals and registering 10 assists.

But, as James Morrison now plots the future at The Hawthorns, it remains to be seen whether Grant will be part of his team moving forward.

Where is West Brom's Karlan Grant?

After recovering from his mid-season hamstring injury that sidelined him for three months, Grant was able to return for the final few games of West Brom's 2025-26 campaign.

He would even bag Albion's consolation goal in their final day defeat to Sheffield Wednesday, adding a further layer of complexity surrounding whether or not he would be offered fresh terms.

It's understood that Grant has indeed got a contract offer on the table to remain in B71, but he's clearly taking his time to make sure his decision is the right one.

Between now and the end of last season, Baggies fans haven't heard or seen much of Grant on his Instagram account, with his previous post being from 30 March.

However, the forward has now updated his feed on Friday, posting a collection of photos revealing what he's been up to recently and where he is.

Grant is/has been in the USA, with the eight of the 16 images he shared showcasing him at England's World Cup opener against Croatia in Dallas on Wednesday night.

It was a poignant image too, as it showed Ezri Konsa on the big jumbotron screen inside the stadium, as those two developed together for a number of years in Charlton Athletic's youth system.

Also pictured enjoying his trip with Lincoln City winger Reeco Hackett, Grant accompanied the post with the caption: "Deffo shoot better in real life than cod," which is a reference to the video game series, Call of Duty.

Tottenham star leads player reactions to Grant's post

So, it appears then that a decision on whether he signs a new contract with West Brom could reach The Hawthorns hierarchy from across the pond.

A host of Premier League stars have been reacting to his aforementioned post as well, including Tottenham's Dominic Solanke.

The Spurs striker liked the post, and replied by saying: "Defo shoot better in real life than cod."

Meanwhile, Everton's Tim Iroegbunam and Leeds United's Largie Ramazani both also liked the post, as did a number of Grant's West Brom teammates.

Josh Maja, Callum Styles and Ollie Bostock did so, with soon-to-be free agent Daryl Dike liking and commenting: "Yesssirrr."

In-demand Barnsley star Reyes Cleary also liked the post, as West Brom fans now await imminent news on whether or not he will be an Albion player for 2026-27 and possibly beyond.
