Nolan Galves contract examined after West Brom injury latest

West Bromwich Albion signed Nolan Galves in the summer, but are set to be without him for a period.

The Baggies were in need of a right-back after the departure of Danny Imray back to Crystal Palace.

It was a blow to lose the 23-year-old, especially when he eventually joined Wrexham on a permanent deal.

That saw the Albion turn towards different targets for that position as the window went on.

Galves eventually came in from Rodez and became an instant starter at The Hawthorns.

That was until he picked up an injury in B71, as we know assess what we know about his contract.

What do we know about Nolan Galves' contract?

The 2003-born defender did come out of nowhere as a signing in July.

There were strong links to Southampton at one stage, but he ultimately decided on a move to the Black Country instead.

An undisclosed fee was reported, but it is said that he signed for a figure in the region of £850,000.

As part of that move from the French second division, he put pen to paper on a four-year deal in B71.

Galves is now under contract at The Hawthorns until the summer of 2030, but things haven't started as he would have hoped.

How long could Galves miss for West Brom through injury?

The Frenchman had been a useful asset for James Morrison in his opening weeks in the side.

That was until he came off the bench away to Derby County and suffered an issue with the cartilage in his knee, known as the meniscus.

The frustration is that he was only forced on after Brayann Pereira was sent off on his debut for two silly yellow cards.

It is now feared that he could be absent until well into the new year as a result.

That was confirmed by Morrison after the win at Pride Park, "It's quite serious.

"He's got some further tests this week, but I expect a few months out. Meniscus."

Galves will now be fully focused on his recovery and has the contract behind him that will only benefit his career in the Midlands.
