The next free agent West Brom could sign after Conor Townsend deal

West Brom's free agent signings may not be done after Conor Townsend's arrival.

The 33-year-old is set to seal a return to The Hawthorns, just two years after departing.

James Morrison has added experience to the squad, with the former vice-captain, ahead of the Championship campaign.

Townsend is set to sign a one-year deal with West Brom, with an announcement believed to be close.

However, that may not be the end of the Baggies' wheeling and dealing, and they could look further into the out-of-contract market.

Albion could look at another player who is without a club at the moment, as they continue to make shrewd deals.

West Brom could pull off Bamba Dieng deal

West Brom News has already covered their West Brom's interest in Bamba Dieng on a free transfer.

The Baggies could enter the fray again for the 26-year-old forward, who left Lorient this summer, as Morrison looks for more attacking reinforcements.

He was supposedly set to link up with Al-Shabab in Saudi Arabia but that move fell apart.

If the Throstles want him, they will have to act quickly as Turkish side Amed SK are closing in on a deal for the 10-goal striker.

Whether they do so or not probably depends on how highly that they rate the Senegal ace.

Who else could West Brom sign for free?

Realistic free agents that Albion could sign include former Sunderland star Dennis Cirkin.

Another is former Southampton midfielder Will Smallbone, while former West Ham man Adama Traore could add pace to the flanks.

If ex-Burnley ace Axel Tuanzebe fancies dropping down a level, then Albion would be foolish to not be in the mix.

Bertrand Traore could represent brilliant value if the former Aston Villa winger could be persuaded to link up with the B71 side.

Ross Stewart and Elijah Adebayo would be options to reinforce the forward line if Dieng does indeed seal a move to Turkey.

Whether Morrison would be willing to take a risk on any of those players remains to be seen, but they would add experience to his squad, just like Townsend.

It would be solid recruitment and would leave funds available for other areas.
