Torbjorn Heggem has given his approval to West Bromwich Albion's newest signing Felix Horn Myhre.

Albion announced on Wednesday that Myhre, 27, has agreed a three-year contract at The Hawthorns after an initial £2.5million fee was finalised with SK Brann.

According to the Express & Star, that fee could rise to £3.1m in the future if all add-ons are triggered.

Aune Heggebo played alongside Myhre with Brann before he joined West Brom last summer has already played a role in the announcement of the midfielder's move to the Black Country.

The Baggies striker starred in his announcement video, in which he was filmed eating 'Brann Flakes' and searching for Myhre while he was drumming the Norwegian 'Viking Row', that went viral during the World Cup.

Now, another Norwegian in Heggem has reacted to the news of Myhre's arrival.

What Torbjorn Heggem said about West Brom signing Felix Horn Myhre

Heggem, 27, joined West Brom from Swedish club Brommapojkarna in 2024 and lasted just one year at The Hawthorns due to how well he performed in the Championship.

He left to join Bologna for £10m last summer and has since played 38 times for them and starred in the Norway side that reached the World Cup quarter-finals earlier this summer.

With Heggem and Heggebo both joining in the last couple of years, Myhre has become the Baggies' latest Norwegian import.

After seeing a post announcing his arrival, Heggem simply wrote on Instagram: "Love it."

It's understandable that there's been such a buzz surrounding this signing, especially with the Brann fans and players talking so highly of Myhre ahead of his move to The Hawthorns.

Myhre's Brann stats for Brann and Norway

In the 2025 Eliteserien season, Myhre has scored two goals and supplied two assists in 15 appearances.

He also scored for Brann last month when he netted in a Conference League qualifier against Romanian side FC Universitatea Cluj.

Although he wasn't present at the World Cup, Myhre is a fully-fledged Norway international, having earned seven caps for his country and scoring twice.

His last cap came in a friendly draw with Switzerland back in March, while his two goals have been against Moldova and Austria.
