Uros Racic has signed his contract to become a West Brom player for the duration of the 2024-25 campaign.

Serbian news outlet Mozzart Sport posted an image on X [22 August] showing Racic posing for a photo.

The midfielder has joined the Baggies from Serie A side Sassuolo on an initial loan basis.

Albion confirmed the signing on their official website [22 August] soon after Mozzart Sport broke the news.

Uros Racic can fill Okay Yokuslu void at The Hawthorns

This is a deal that has been in the pipeline for the past few days, but it is always nice to get a transfer fully over the line.

Racic ticks plenty of boxes and will help fill the void left by Yokuslu, who departed The Hawthorns earlier this month.

After a number of high-profile departures, it was important that Shilen Patel helped find funds - for wages in this instance - to get another new midfielder in before the window closes.

Carlos Corberan will still want one or two more new faces, even if that is on loan, and there is a little over a week left to do so.

The aim for Corberan and his side this season will be once again challenge for - and hopefully finish in - the top six.

The signing of Racic is just one more step towards achieving that.
