It would be a surprise if this one wasn't announced before the weekend.
Mowatt has completed his medical at Derby on Thursday, according to the Telegraph's John Percy.
It's said that the transfer will be announced by the clubs very likely in the next 24 hours.
Described as a long-term target for John Eustace, a deal months in the making will finally be sorted.
What does new West Brom midfield look like?
Morrison will be delighted with the work done in this area.
Mowatt has looked tired over the past couple of seasons, and while good at distributing possession, he gets run over frequently.
Rabby Nzingoula has signed from Strasbourg to replace him, with Felix Horn Myhre already hitting the ground running, too.
Add Ousmane Diakite and Jayson Molumby to that, and the Baggies have real runners in the heart of their side.
With only two spots up for grabs though, it's hard to predict who starts at Carrow Road to open the new season.
Myhre has earned a role after his cameo at Rotherham, and the other likely starter is probably Molumby for his experience.
Having Diakite and Nzingoula available off the bench is brilliant, too.
It won't be long until Mowatt is reunited with his old teammates, though, with the Baggies travelling to Derby on 9 September.
