What Rabby Nzingoula’s arrival now means for West Brom ahead of Norwich opener

Rabby Nzingoula has officially been confirmed as a West Bromwich Albion player.

The Baggies' Championship opener is just around the corner as they prepare to take on Norwich City at Carrow Road.

James Morrison's side have already got off to a strong start having progressed to the second round of the Carabao Cup with a 4-1 win versus Rotherham United.

While the former Scotland international will be delighted with his squad, he now has another option to consider.

The Frenchman is the seventh signing of the window as the The Hawthorns side hope to improve on last season.

Now, Nzingoula's £2million arrival has potentially provided Morrison with a decision to make over his squad.

Who could Rabby Nzingoula replace in West Brom's line-up?

Nzingoula could be in line for a quick introduction to West Brom fans this weekend.

According to the Express and Star, Nzingoula could now make his debut in a "curtin raiser" fixture against Norwich this weekend.

If that is the case, and he starts from the first whistle, Morrison will have to decide between Alex Mowatt and Ousmane Diakite to drop.

Nzingoula is capable of playing either midfield role, whether it is staying deeper to help defend or move forward and help in the attack.

West Brom have pointed to that fact by describing him as a player who can both "break up play" as well as the midfielder having "proficiency in starting attacks."

So, the likes of Mowatt and Diakite will need to perform well in training in order to secure their spot in the opening game.

Midfielder Jayson Molumby is also likely to try break his way back into the starting line-up.

However, Molumby's future has been in question the last few weeks.

Well for Morrison's squad he is set to receive more new additions this window according to the Express and Star.

West Brom are still in the market for a winger while they could still bolster their forward options.
