Filip Krovinovic sends message to Baggies fans

Croatian midfielder Filip Krovinovic sent a jubilant message to West Brom fans after his side’s 4-2 win over Cardiff on Saturday saw them go top of the league ahead of the international break.

After starting six games for Slaven Bilic, Krovinovic has been used off the bench in the last three games and he was introduced after 73 minutes in the game at the Hawthorns on Saturday.

It nearly backfired. With the Baggies 3-0 up, Cardiff scored two minutes after Krovinovic had been introduced and added a second in the 86th minute.

Thankfully, Romaine Sawyers, who came up through the youth ranks at the club before leaving on a free and returning this summer, sent the home faithful wild with his first goal to seal the win in injury time.

Following the game, Krovinovic posted an image of him celebrating with some West Brom fans with the message, “Our dear fans, this one was for you”.

24-year-old Krovinovic has made 10 appearances in total since his loan move from Benfica in the summer and has registered two assists in the games against Luton and Reading.
