Reliable journalist: West Brom could revisit hunt to sign player valued £15m+ in summer

West Brom remain interested in Hull City forward Jarrod Bowen as Slaven Bilic eyes late January additions to his squad, according to The Athletic journalist Steve Madeley.

The reporter claims that if Hull stick to their valuation of over £15million for Bowen, then a deal for the Baggies to sign him this month is extremely unlikely.

However it is understood that Albion could revisit their hunt to sign the 23-year-old attacker in the summer.

West Brom still have to shell out £8million to sign Matheus Pereira on a permanent deal from Sporting CP and Madeley has reported that is likely to stop Albion from spending big this month.

Signing Pereira is something that the Baggies have practically no option to do now, with the Brazilian attacker four Championship appearances away from having a permanent move to The Hawthorns triggered automatically.

West Brom would have one ridiculous attack force for the Championship if they do manage to sign Bowen to play on top of the likes of Pereira and Grady Diangana, once he is back from injury.

Bowen has scored 17 goals in all competitions this season for Hull and is widely considered to be someone with Premier League quality.

If West Brom sign him in the summer then surely it will only happen if they have achieved promotion from the Championship.

In other West Brom news, Albion have made contact over a £9million-rated attacker.
