West Brom fans have slammed Sam Johnstone for conceding a goal in the first half against Hull City at The Hawthorns on Sunday.
Charlie Austin fired the Baggies ahead after four minutes but just before the first-half drinks break, Hull got themselves back in the game through Kevin Stewart.
Many Albion fans seem to believe that goalkeeper Johnstone could have done a lot more to stop Stewart scoring as, once again, Slaven Bilic saw his side come undone at a corner kick.
West Brom failed to clear their lines and that led to Stewart equalising for the relegation-threatened Tigers.
Johnstone has been regularly criticised by fans this season and he even took to Twitter to respond to critics earlier in the campaign.
And it seems that those who have it in for the former Aston Villa goalkeeper are at it again, even though it was a defensive lapse by pretty much the entire team.
Goalkeepers cannot be expected to claim every single cross that comes into the box – there are more outfield players than there are goalkeepers.
Why doesn’t someone else get the blame? Why does Johnstone get criticised so often for not being superhuman?
It seems that the supporters don’t think that before hitting out at the stop-stopper.
Here is a selection of their tweets:
Johnstone has to do better for me there

How has Johnstone not got any better at dealing with crosses? #wba

Johnstone still not commanding enough for me #wba

His shot stopping is top class, but don't know if it's his choice or way he's coached, but Johnstone has to start dominating his area more, especially from corners. And he has to be catching balls which aren't much above head height. Tries to punch everything. #wba

Sam Johnstone is not a premiership keeper, passive, indecisive and simply too weak.

Agreed Sam Johnstone has to catch it or punch it out further

Can someone send Sam Johnstone to a boxing camp so he can learn how to punch! Shocking !!!!
