These West Brom fans react to Chris Brunt cameo in convincing 4-2 win v Hull

West Brom went into their clash with Hull City on Sunday afternoon knowing it was a must-win fixture at the Hawthorns.

Fulham, Brentford and Leeds United all won on Saturday, and the Baggies bounced back perfectly against the Tigers.

It wasn’t plain sailing, but Slaven Bilic’s men got there in the end with a 4-2 victory thanks to goals from Charlie Austin, Ahmed Hegazi, Kamil Grosicki and Grady Diangana.

It has been a rollercoaster of a season for Chris Brunt this year. The Baggies’ legend confirmed that he would leave the Hawthorns at the end of this campaign.

The Northern Ireland international came on for the final 20 minutes in the 4-2 victory, much to the delight of the West Brom faithful.

Brunt has only completed 38 minutes in the entire Championship season before this cameo, which was his first appearance since the 1-0 defeat against Stoke back in December.

Jake Livermore paid a fitting tribute to the Baggies’ legend, claiming that he would definitely lift the Championship trophy with him should West Brom finish at the top of the tree at the end of this month.

The 35-year-old had one shot on goal and completed over 80% of his passes according to WhoScored, as he helped guide Bilic’s men to three points after the red card to Hegazi late in the clash.

Many fans have reacted to Brunt’s cameo at the Hawthorns, with the majority all delighted with his performance.
