West Brom fans are delighted to see that the club has finally made a major breakthrough in their bid to sign Karlan Grant from Huddersfield.
On Wednesday, Telegraph journalist John Percy took to his personal Twitter account to reported that Grant, 23, is due to have a medical with the Baggies on Thursday after a fee was agreed for the striker with Huddersfield.
It is understood that the deal will be worth around £15million.
West Brom fans have been waiting anxiously for updates on the club’s bid to sign Grant as he’s been widely reported as Slaven Bilic’s top striker target since the end of last season – three months ago.
Bilic and Luke Dowling have had to work with a shoestring budget in the transfer window, which has led to an inevitable series of delays in their talks over Grant.
Huddersfield have done well to get £15million for their centre-forward in the current financial climate we’re in but it remains to be seen whether he will be worth his weight in gold for the Baggies.
Most fans probably aren’t sure of that yet but there’s an overall sense of relief that Grant is finally Hawthorns-bound after months and months of waiting.

Bilic, Dowling & Ken have done bits with an embarrassing budget from the owner. Would’ve liked a fullback as extra but considering the budget, you really can’t complain at how effectively they’ve used it. #wba https://t.co/AJaKvATyTX

Grant netted 19 times in the Championship last season to help Huddersfield avoid relegation and, in his half-season in the Premier League before the Terriers’ drop to the second-tier, the ex-Charlton man scored four goals in 13 outings.
He’s shown he can score in the Premier League before so let’s hope he at least hits double-digits at The Hawthorns in 2020/21.
In other West Brom news, Albion are in advanced talks to sell this player.
