West Brom announced a new global partnership with Mondelez International on Monday afternoon, as they continue to expand their brand.
Owners of Cadbury’s, the Baggies have confirmed that the much-loved chocolate brand will become an official partner during the multi-year contract.
It has been described as a partnership built on the same values, and something that can help the Albion continue their work in the community.
Head of Partnerships at the Hawthorns, Tomasz Chadwick has commented on the new deal, claiming that everyone involved will be working proactively to bring support to those who need it the most.
“As a club that takes pride in looking after its community, we’re delighted to have a partner that will work proactively with us to offer support to those that need it.”
Club foundations and food banks for the community have seen a massive upsurge in donations in recent months.
Fans of all Premier League clubs had decided to boycott the Pay-Per-View model for games and instead donated their £15 to food banks.
Now that the PPV has disappeared after the international break, this new partnership should continue the good work started by Baggies fans before it.
Many West Brom fans have reacted to the news, and after looking past the jokes about chocolate and Charlie Austin, the majority seemed happy.
Most of the Albion faithful believe that this is going to benefit everyone, and is a welcome distraction from matters on the pitch.
