TalkSPORT presenter Simon Jordan claims there is ‘no justice’ for West Brom after the Baggies were embroiled in VAR controversy during their 1-0 loss to Manchester United.

Albion lost 1-0 to Man United on Saturday night as their winless run in the Premier League was extended to nine games.

But the Baggies were robbed of a chance to take the lead in the game after referee David Coote inexplicably overturned his own decision to award Albion a penalty.

Jordan claimed there was ‘no justice’ for the Baggies as it certainly seemed as if Coote’s original decision was the correct one.

Bruno Fernandes kicks the shin of Conor Gallager inside the Man United box while trying to defend and Coote immediately pointed to the spot.

The referee was then asked to take another look at the challenge on the pitchside VAR monitor and it isn’t quite clear what he saw that made him change his mind and take a glorious chance to open the scoring away from the Baggies.

Fernandes gets a tiny part of the ball in his challenge but it is after he makes considerable contact with Gallagher’s shin.

It was a baffling decision and it was another moment to forget for Coote after his ludicrous decision to not punish Jordan Pickford for his terrible tackle on Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk in October’s Merseyside derby.

Coote was on VAR duty that day and it is another example of the referee making a truly perplexing decision that very few people seemingly agree with.

When you’re at the bottom of the table it seems like every decision is going against you but Albion have to take the positives from their much-improved performances and take that into their next game against Sheffield United.
