Michael Owen is predicting a home win to nil for West Ham tonight, despite the dramatic 3-2 win for West Brom at the weekend.
Owen has said that Big Sam will be “hoping for more of the same” but thinks it’s a forlorn hope.
He thinks the game will end 2-0 to West Ham.
Writing in his regular predictions column, Owen said, “Sam Allardyce secured his first win as West Brom manager in dramatic fashion on Saturday as the Baggies came from behind to defeat rivals Wolves in the Black Country derby.
“Three goals and three points will come as a welcome sight for the former England manager and he’ll be hoping for more of the same as his side travel to the London Stadium.
“West Ham got the win at home against Burnley and made it 3 Premier League clean sheets in a row in the process. There certainly is some solidity about the Hammers just now, and with their much-improved home form, I fancy them to take the points again.”
Snodgrass a catalyst for change
It’s easy to predict a home win in this game but no one was expecting West Brom to get anything out of the BCD on Saturday.
The arrival of Robert Snodgrass has given Albion a kick just when we needed it and we’re hoping that his passion rubs off on his teammates.
If it does, we could see a different performance tonight from a team who have been given a glimpse of the good times.
West ham are also more than capable of running hot and cold. In recent weeks, they’ve drawn with Brighton and Southampton and struggled to get past Stockport in the FA Cup.
Another stirring performance from West Brom could deliver consecutive wins and no one would have thought that possible last Friday.
In other West Brom news, the Albion are in talks to sign an in-form striker.
