‘Hope you win’ – Sam Allardyce sends Chorley message ahead of FA Cup clash v Wolves
West Brom manager Sam Allardyce has delivered a message to Chorley ahead of their FA Cup fourth-round clash with Wolves.
The Baggies handed their nearest-rivals defeat in their latest outing before the cup competition this evening, and there has been fallout since.
Chorley were forced to delete a tweet regarding the Baggies after complaints from Wolves fans – something that sent the Albion faithful into hysterics online.
Shared on Chorley’s official Twitter account, Big Sam has wished the side luck before claiming that he hopes to see them progress.
“It’s Big Sam here – probably one of the biggest games in Chorley’s history,” he said.
“Chorley versus Wolverhampton Wanderers, fourth round of the FA Cup, Friday night.
“All the best lads, hope you win.”
Chorley could turn this into the perfect week.
Wolves being turned over by non-league opposition would go some way to helping us forget about the 2-1 defeat against West Ham in midweek.
Baggies fans claimed that we had broken our fierce rivals after that win at Molineux, and it appears as though Big Sam wants to see more.
The only downside of seeing this tweet is the fact that we won’t be in action this weekend after losing against Blackpool in the third round.
Albion fans asked their club to come out and support Chorley, and despite that not happening, Allardyce appears to have taken the reigns.
What better way to spend our weekend without the Baggies than supporting yet another potential defeat for The Dingles?
