Matthew Marsden stunned after report moots West Brom price for Matheus Pereira
Hollywood actor and West Brom fan Matthew Marsen has reacted with disbelief to a recent report mooting Matheus Pereira’s transfer fee this summer.
Online news outlet teamTALK claimed on Saturday [05/06/21] that the West Midlands side were willing to part ways with their Brazilian playmaker this summer if a fee of at least £15million was met by interested parties.
Norwich City, Brighton and Aston Villa were mentioned as potential bidders.
Marsen, who starred in films such as ‘Tenet’ and Rambo’, took to his personal Twitter profile to air his grievance at the report.
He wrote: “£15million? No way.”

Imagine if Albion actually sold our magician for such a paltry sum? There would be uproar among fans, and rightly so.
It’s very early days in the transfer window so it could be pure speculation and maybe the workings of an agent behind the scenes, but it’s still a concerning thought.
Worst of all, it’s not even that inconceivable knowing the current Baggies board.
We hold little to no faith in them to extract the maximum amount possible for the 25-year-old, that’s how poorly we have been run over the last few years.
We’re not expecting an extortionate amount given our relegation puts us in a weaker position, but £15million would be an insult in the current climate.
There is still a faint hope we might be able to keep hold of him beyond the summer, but understandably he may have ambitions to prolong his Premier League stay and we wouldn’t begrudge him of those.
But if he does leave it must be on our own terms, and we cannot be left high and dry by his departure.
