West Brom starting XI v Watford

After an impressive performance against Sheffield Wednesday, Matt Phillips starts for West Brom against Watford.

David Button, who’s widely expected to be the number one next season if Sam Johnstone leaves, starts in goal for the Baggies.

Matheus Pereira, who’s been linked with an exit this summer, does not even make the matchday squad.

It appears to be a pretty solid-looking XI for the Baggies with a number of first-team regulars included in the side.

Dara O’Shea at the heart of the defence will be looking to impress alongside the ever-present Kyle Bartley.

In midfield, Alex Mowatt and Jake Livermore will be looking to offer some solidity with Karlan Grant and Grady Diangana providing the width in the final third.

New loan signing Matt Clarke takes his place on the bench.

Let’s make it 4 in 4

The Baggies will be looking to have a good pre-season ahead of a campaign in the Championship.

Watford, who’ve secured promotion, have swapped places with us, and are set to play us at 3pm today.

Thus far, we’ve won all three of our games under Valerien Ismael and hopefully, the good times continue not just today but also all through the season.

In our first game, we beat Salford City 8-2 in a game played over three 45-minute thirds.

This game the new manager a good opportunity to assess the depth in his squad and to see which younger and fringe players are ready to kick on next season.

We followed it up with a 1-0 win over Woking and a 2-0 victory against Sheffield Wednesday as Phillips bagged an impressive brace.

They began their pre-season with a thriller against Millwall and ran out narrow 3-2 winners thanks to goals from Domingos Quina, Adam Masina and new signing Ashley Fletcher.

That was followed that by two 60-minute games against Colchester United, fielding different sides in each and won them 2-1 and 2-0.

We’ve got a squad good enough to beat them and hopefully we do just that as it will give the players a huge psychological boost.
