West Brom Super Fans slam Adrian Durham's Valerien Ismael claim

This is part of a regular series from our panel of West Brom Super Fans. Each week, Super Fans from our West Brom News Facebook page will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around The Hawthorns.

West Brom Super Fans have flocked to a post on the West Brom News Facebook page about Adrian Durham having a go at Valerien Ismael.

Speaking on talkSPORT [18/10/2021], Durham ripped into the Frenchman and likened his style of football to Tony Pulis’.

This has drawn the attention of our Super Fans, who disagree with this suggestion.

Odd comparison.

If Durham thinks that because Ismael likes long throws, then he is similar to Pulis, then he is barking up the wrong tree.

The Frenchman plays a strict 3-4-3 formation that focuses on high-intensity pressing.

Yes, he likes to use Darnell Furlong to launch throws into the box, but if you have that weapon at your disposal, why not use it?

It has paid dividends on a few occasions this season, and if the Baggies are promoted thanks to a few long throws over the course of the season, we can’t imagine that too many Baggies fans will be complaining.

We think that one of the problems that the Baggies have had this season is that teams are happy to let them have the ball and hit them on the counter-attack.

This has stopped them from pressing and winning the ball high up the field.

Now, it is up to Ismael to come up with a solution for this, but he is nothing like Pulis.

In other West Brom news, Ismael has sent a message to the Baggies fans ahead of Wednesday’s game.
