West Brom Super Fans react to new claims on Valerien Ismael's future
This is part of a regular series from our panel of West Brom Super Fans. Each week, Super Fans from our West Brom News Facebook page will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around The Hawthorns.
West Brom Super Fans have flocked to a post on the West Brom News Facebook page about Valerien Ismael’s future.
The Express and Star released a report claiming that the Frenchman’s job isn’t under pressure, but it seems ridiculous that we even have to talk about that.
The Baggies are in third position after spending barely anything in the transfer window and are the third-top goalscorers in the division.
Therefore, we can see why our Super Fans aren’t too happy with any speculation over Ismael’s future.
Here’s what they had to say…
Our Super Fans make a good point here, and the wider context of the season and the squad has to be considered.
The Baggies made a few signings, but they have had injuries to key players throughout the season, and Ismael has managed to put the Baggies into a strong position.
Yes, some of the football on display hasn’t been great, but overall, the results justify Ismael being handed a bit more time to turn things around and get the team promoted.
The main problem is the lack of a top striker that can rattle in 20 goals, and that isn’t Ismael’s fault.
Therefore, we can see why so many of our Super Fans are still behind the Frenchman, and we just have to hope that he can keep pushing the Baggies up the table and get them promoted.
If he can do that or at least get close, then surely he has done his job and deserves some more time?
In other West Brom news, the club could be set to lose another youth talent in January.
