Alex Mowatt spotted in West Brom training ahead of Huddersfield Town trip

West Brom travel to Huddersfield Town on Saturday as Championship action resumes after the international break, and clinching a win is on their mind.

Valerien Ismael’s side appears to have been handed a huge boost as Alex Mowatt was pictured in training with the rest of the team, as posted by the club’s official Instagram account on Friday afternoon.

The midfielder, 26, last featured for the Baggies in the 1-0 win against Birmingham in the middle of October, with a toe injury ruling him out of the last five league games.

It is unknown whether he will be featuring against the Terriers, but he looks ready from the picture shared, with the West Brom social media account saying: “Look who’s back in training.”

Massive boost

The Hawthorns outfit have won two of the games Mowatt has missed, losing two and drawing the other, and they certainly need him back right now.

Ismael’s men have lost ground on the top two, with six points between them and second-placed Fulham, while Coventry and Stoke City are just two and four points behind them, respectively.

Huddersfield are only seven points away and will be looking to inflict defeat on West Brom tomorrow.

In the absence of Mowatt, Jayson Molumby and Robert Snodgrass have been fielded, and while they have not been below par, they do not offer the same quality as the former Barnsley man.

Having him available for Saturday’s trip would be huge, and West Brom fans will be hoping Ismael has good news for them in the coming hours.
