Kevin Phillips predicts West Brom clash v Huddersfield

We’re delighted to welcome former West Brom striker Kevin Phillips as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at The Hawthorns

Kevin Phillips has backed West Brom to take all three points from their trip to Huddersfield in the Championship on Saturday.

Super Kev has backed the Baggies to leave West Yorkshire with a 2-1 victory after numerous boosts this week.

Valerien Ismael confirmed today that the likes of Alex Mowatt will be ready to return in what is a huge boost to the squad.

Speaking exclusively to West Brom News, Phillips said, “It won’t be an easy game.

“Huddersfield on their day can hurt anyone, I will back West Brom though after a decent lay-off and full-strength squad.

“I’ll go for a 2-1 win.”

This is where the business end starts in the Championship.

We don’t want to let Fulham and Bournemouth get too far away while they are posting inconsistent results as they did before the break.

Ismael has been facing heavy critics, but today called for his side to be ruthless when taking on those around them.

Having the likes of Mowatt and Jake Livermore back together will be perfect, and they will instantly make the Albion better.

Three points are all that matters, but with Huddersfield chasing the play-offs themselves, it certainly won’t be easy.

No game in the Championship is though and there are no excuses not to leave with the win tomorrow afternoon.
