West Brom Super Fans react to Dara O'Shea's FA ban

This is part of a regular series from our panel of West Brom Super Fans. Each week, Super Fans from our West Brom News Facebook page will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around The Hawthorns.

West Brom Super Fans have flocked to a post on the West Brom News Facebook page about Dara O’Shea’s ban from the FA.

The 22-year-old was handed a three-match ban after he pushed a steward over in the Baggies’ 1-0 win over Peterborough United.

This proved to be O’Shea’s last game before he fractured his ankle, and the FA have decided that his ban starts from now.

This has drawn the attention of our Super Fans, who are baffled.

Unnecessary.

This seems like a pretty unnecessary thing to do, considering the Irishman is already injured, so the ban won’t impact him at all.

Instead, it just looks as if the FA have decided that they were going to make an example out of the 22-year-old.

They could have just privately told him and issued him with a fine, but they decided to make it public, despite the incident happening in just the fifth league game of the season.

Since then, O’Shea has suffered a bad injury, and the Baggies have played a lot of games.

So, it does seem like it was all a bit pointless this, and it is clear that our Super Fans agree.

The only good thing is that this ban takes place now and not when he has returned from his injury.

So, when O’Shea returns, he can jump straight back into the first team.
