Pat Frost thrilled as Tyrone Mings donates £2000 to West Brom fan

Pat Frost has reacted on Twitter after Aston Villa star Tyrone Mings donated £2000 to a West Brom fan with a friend battling cancer.

Twitter user Matty Bennett reached out for help to get seven-year-old Violet from Halesowen overcome Acute Lymphoblast Leukaemia as she prepares to undergo chemotherapy until 2023.

A lot of football stars have reached out, but the England international particularly caught the eyes with his generous donation, and former Baggies kitman Frost took to his personal account to react.

He said: “Never forget this WBA fans.”

Class

Robert Snodgrass, Dara O’Shea and Jordan Hugill are some of the West Brom players that have donated to help the young girl battle cancer, and Mings did not mind that a rival fan was in charge of the fundraising.

The Premier League centre-back did not have to respond to the call, but he put rivalry aside to show his class, and the Baggies supporters should never forget this kind gesture of his.

West Brom are struggling to get wins on board right now, but this is some good news to lift their hearts for the time being.

Valerien Ismael’s men were held to a second straight goalless draw by Nottingham Forest last Friday, and they are now eight points off the automatic promotion places due to their underwhelming campaign, with just a point separating them from Blackburn Rovers and Coventry.

West Brom face the Sky Blues this weekend in a six-pointer, and defeat could see them drop out entirely of the top-six in what would be a massive blow on their promotion ambitions going forward.
