According to The Athletic journalist Steve Madeley, West Brom could move for Aston Villa striker Keinan Davis when the January transfer window opens.

The Baggies are expected to make a couple of additions to their squad next month in order to keep their promotion hopes alive, and the 23-year-old appears to be on their radar.

Valerien Ismael currently has Karlan Grant, Matt Phillips, Callum Robinson, Jordan Hugill and Kenneth Zohore as his striking options, and while they have scored 15 league goals between them, an addition to the department would come in handy.

We asked our esteemed panel of West Brom Super Fans whether Davies is good enough for the team.

Here’s what they had to say…

Albion have scored just two goals in their last six Championship games, and it is not a surprise that they have won just one of them.

They failed to find the back of the net in their last three games and have slipped out of the top-three as a result.

The Frenchman definitely needs to strengthen his striking ranks, but could the Villa man prove to be a solid option?

Davies has not had plenty of chances to prove himself at the Midlands outfit so far, and a return of three goals and two assists in 74 league games is not particularly appealing.

However, the West Brom head coach surely sees something in him that most fans do not, and if he indeed wants him, just maybe something good could come out of this.

The club does not have a lot to spend next month from the look of things, and they will mostly be looking at bargain and loan deals.

More names will surely emerge in the coming weeks, but Davis could be an option worth taking a punt on.
