Joseph Masi delivers verdict on Kazim-Richards goal v West Brom
Joseph Masi has slammed the West Brom defenders for allowing Colin Kazim-Richards to score for Derby County on Monday (December 27).
The Derby man came off the bench to score the only goal of the game in a 1-0 victory for the hosts.
Despite the Baggies dominating the game, they came away from their visit empty-handed.
Masi, the Express and Star journalist, wrote, “Shambolic from Albion. Kipre for some reason heads the ball towards Johnstone when it didn’t look like there was any need.
“He’s out his box so heads it away. And it falls for Kazim-Richards who fires into an empty net from 25-yards. Absolutely shocking goal”
The Baggies seem like they’re going on a good run of form and eventually fall off a cliff.
Even in this game, they dominated possession, created more chances and were unlucky that Derby scored from their only shot on target.
This suggests that it’s not entirely Valerien Ismael’s fault and the players have been really wasteful.
The manner of conceding this goal was shocking, to say the least, and it was a catalogue of errors.
We do not know what the right answer is, but it’s growing glaringly obvious to everyone that a new striker has to come in next month.
Jordan Hugill, who came off the bench, is clearly not the kind of striker who scores his club to promotion and Daryl Dike has to be the player Ismael must convince to move to the Hawthorns.
