Signing Hamza Choudhury will be brilliant business for West Brom
West Brom are interested in making a move for Leicester City’s midfielder Hamza Choudhury, according to the Sun.
After already securing their first signing of the summer in John Swift from Reading, the Baggies are wasting no time in making further additions to their squad.
Steve Bruce is a huge fan of the Foxes man as he reportedly tried to sign him during his time at Newcastle United as well before being sacked.
It is believed that Leicester will not be against moving their FA Cup winner on loan to West Brom and if the Baggies get promotion back to the Premier League, they might be able to get their man permanently.
Choudhury will not just be another addition to West Brom, he will be someone that will bring a winning mentality to the club.
The English midfielder was a part of the side that won the FA Cup for the foxes in 2021 against Chelsea. If he brings that kind of mentality to the Hawthorns, West Brom may find themselves in the English top flight, sooner rather than later.
The former Burton Albion man only played 12 games for the foxes in the recently concluded season. With a stacked number of midfielders already at Brendan Rodgers’ disposal, it is better if West Brom get their man and improves their midfield.
Choudhury will battle Jack Livermore for the position of defensive midfield. As he is the younger of the two, he is likely to get more minutes than Livermore.
Despite limited game time in the 2021-22 season, the midfielder had an average of 1.5 tackles and two interceptions per match, which was the best output for any Leicester midfielder.
