West Brom triple injury update on Jake Livermore, Callum Robinson and Jayson Molumby

West Brom have had three absentee worries over the past week at The Hawthorns as the new Championship season got underway over the weekend.

The Express and Star have reported that Jayson Molumby was taken off as a precaution in the 1-1 draw against Middlesbrough after struggling with cramp.

Jake Livermore made the starting line-up but it was touch-and-go after he was yet again hit by COVID-19 in the build-up to the clash.

Sharing news of his squad, Steve Bruce was also quoted sharing that Callum Robinson is still struggling and even had to go for a scan on his latest issue.

“He took a knock against Northampton and he’s still a while off,” he said.

“It’s nothing serious, he’s been scanned, but it’s obviously enough to keep him out for a couple of weeks.”

Issues.

One matchday into the new season and there are already numerous injury issues.

With Okay Yokuslu and Daryl Dike both being brought up to total match fitness too, the squad is already starting to look threadbare in certain places.

That is exactly what you don’t want when looking at our packed August schedule, which starts with two gruelling encounters against Watford and Sheffield United.

Livermore and Molumby should hopefully be fine, but the skipper will no doubt have needed a bigger rest compared to others after recovering from COVID to play a big role at the Riverside.

Bruce will want some consistency in his squad, and having players such as Robinson available to come on would usually be a very weapon, but that won’t be happening any time soon.

Positive updates will be needed soon, but the new signings of John Swift and Jed Wallace are starting to look bigger with each passing day after both shined at Boro.

In other West Brom news, this Manchester United teenager has piqued the interest of Steve Bruce but there is a lot of competition over a loan signing
