Carlos Corberan shares Karlan Grant injury update ahead of Watford v West Brom
Carlos Corberan has revealed that Karlan Grant is a “doubt” for West Brom ahead of facing Watford on Sunday.
The Baggies travel to Vicarage Road on 15 December following their impressive 2-0 win against Coventry City, taking on Tom Cleverley’s who are yet to lose a league game at home this season.
Grant played a starring role in their recent victory, scoring the second goal to secure all three points against Frank Lampard’s new side but now he could be unavailable.
Speaking to the press, quoted by Express and Star [13 December], Corberan said: “The player we have that is a doubt is Grant because after the last game, he was feeling fatigued and is not in his normal condition today, but still we have time. Let’s say he is a doubt.
“It is not an injury, the fact he has played too many games his hamstrings feel fatigued and tired but every 24 hours counts to make the right decision. If he doesn’t recover well he will be out. If he recovers well he will be in, if he recovers very well he can start the game.”
Karlan Grant could be huge miss ahead of Watford v West Brom
The 27-year-old has made an incredible turnaround since arriving back at The Hawthorns, having enjoyed his time on loan with Cardiff City last term and growing distant from the fans.
He is now an important figure in Corberan’s attacking lineup, joining Josh Maja and Tom Fellows in the final third and is proving to be a crucial player so far.
Grant has notched five goals and two assists in 20 Championship appearances, with only Maja boasting more goals and Fellows boasting more assists for the Baggies.

Considering the Hornets’ home form this season, it is an incredibly difficult battle ahead for the Baggies and Grant’s potential absence makes it just that little bit harder.
Fans have every reason to remain positive, however, with Corberan clearly ruling out a long-term injury but it would be a shame to see him missing from the squad at Vicarage Road.
In other West Brom news, Carlos Corberan has been sent an “unstoppable” message by Eseosa Sule after what the teenager did.
