Carlos Corberan agent questioned amid West Brom exit talk
Carlos Corberan’s agent is always looking for new opportunities to pursue an exit from West Brom, according to DOOD.
The Baggies boss has been linked with a move to the Premier League throughout the campaign and has emerged as an odds-on favourite for the vacant Southampton role after rumours emerged of a shock switch to Wolves [Matteo Moretto].
However, DOOD responded to the emerging speculation via X [16 December] as the Albion news outlet attempted to pour cold water on the latest links to Southampton.
He wrote: “I wouldn’t say he’s keen to quit but let’s just say his agent is always on the look out for opportunities.”

The Albion faithful have already made their feelings known about Corberan after the links to Wolves emerged, and the message is loud and clear: hands off.
Despite falling out of the playoffs following results over the weekend, including a 2-1 loss at Watford, the Baggies supporters are eager to continue under Corberan.
West Brom have developed a reputation as draw specialists in the Championship this season, having drawn 11 times out of 21 outings, resulting in over half of their matches played ending in a share of the spoils.
However, the run of “mediocre” results in the league has not swayed struggling Premier League sides as Southampton and Wolves joined Leicester City as a potential landing spot for the Spaniard – he was on the shortlist to succeed Steven Cooper before Ruud van Nistelrooy’s appointment [Daily Mirror].
No such move is yet to bear any sustenance, and the recent Southampton links are no different; all sides mentioned are in serious danger of relegation, whereas West Brom are only two points adrift of the top six heading into the midway point of the season.
Corberan is no fool – leaving The Hawthorns for the top flight now could result in an immediate return to the Championship. Instead, making his top-flight managerial debut with West Brom is far more rewarding, and he will know that.
