Eseosa Sule can be West Brom’s next Morgan Rogers, his Premier League 2 stats are promising

Eseosa Sule could make his mark at West Bromwich Albion in the next few months.

It’s often wildly overlooked, but Morgan Rogers was a product of West Brom’s academy set-up, despite Man City fans claiming him as their own.

Success since then has been few and far between for the Baggies’ youth prospects, but with Sule, they may have the next success story.

The 19-year-old has had injuries dampen his season, but when he has featured, he has looked the part.

And regardless of which league West Brom are in next season, he could make his mark.

How has Eseosa Sule fared for West Brom Under-21s?

Despite only being 19, Sule has featured for the Under-21s in each of the last four campaigns, showcasing just how much potential he truly has.

His best campaign to date was in the 2024-25 season, where the forward scored 12 goals and registered four assists in 29 appearances across all competitions.

So far this season, Sule has four goals from six Premier League 2 appearances, and while that is an excellent return, it isnt his standout attribute.

Sule has completed 63.6 per cent of his attempted dribbles this season for West Brom, which is a stat bettered by only 13 per cent of attackers in the Premier League 2.

It’s a very similar return to that of Rogers when he was first starting to emerge at The Hawthorns as the prospect that he has since turned into.

What is Sule’s contract situation?

Sule will have just one year left on his deal at West Brom come the end of the season, meaning the next six months will be crucial in regard to his future.

He will undoubtedly get a chance to shine in pre-season, and he will need to take that with both hands if he is to make the step up at The Hawthorns.

He has shown he has the potential to do so, and soon, it will be his chance to put that potential into ability on the pitch.
