Jed Wallace’s West Brom contract examined as Hawthorns expiry approaches
Jed Wallace could soon be on his way out of West Bromwich Albion as the end of the season edges closer.
The 32-year-old came in from Millwall in 2022 and was named captain at The Hawthorns just 12 months later.
His leadership has been a plus point of his Baggies career, even if relegation remains a realistic goal for his side this campaign.
The Englishman has certainly played a positive role under James Morrison after being called upon since the introduction of the interim head coach.
That hasn’t stopped Wallace’s future from coming into question, as West Brom News rounds up what we know about his contract in B71.

What is Jed Wallace’s contract situation at West Brom?
There will be firm dreams from the attacker that his side avoid relegation to League One this season after such a terrible spell in the Championship.
Wallace has been a useful asset in the recent back-to-back wins against Hull City and Bristol City, proving that he can bring value to this squad yet.
| Stat | Hull City | Bristol City |
| Minutes played | 67 | 80 |
| Goal involvements | 1 | 0 |
| Chances created | 5 | 2 |
| Shots | 2 | 1 |
| Defensive contributions | 3 | 5 |
That comes after plenty of criticism was aimed towards the wide man, especially with his future currently uncertain in the Black County.
His current deal will expire in the summer after putting pen to paper on a four-year deal after his move from Millwall in 2022.

The Englishman is reportedly paid £25,000 per week at The Hawthorns, equating to a yearly salary in the region of £1.3million.
Wallace may have been praised recently at West Brom, but that sort of outlay may prove to be too much moving into the summer.
Could Wallace sign a new deal at The Hawthorns?
The future of the winger could ultimately depend on what division Albion find themselves in at the start of the next campaign.
A drop to League One could mean Wallace sticks around, should he be willing to take a sizable pay cut to remain in B71.

A similar outcome would be needed for him to sign a new deal with the Baggies if they are to remain in the Championship, although an offer may not come.
If Morrison can keep his side in the second tier, a large-scale overhaul may be required, and that could mark the end of the road for the ex-Millwall man.
There are plenty of ifs and buts surrounding the skipper right now as his future remains up in the air with just months remaining of the campaign.
